In short

This website is a static page about the Sudoku by Ibexo app. It sets no cookies, shows no ads and has no user accounts. The only form is the voluntary feedback form on the support page.

We measure visits with a self-hosted, cookie-free instance of Matomo. Your IP address is shortened before it is stored, and we respect the "Do Not Track" setting of your browser. Nothing is shared with third parties.

The app itself has its own privacy policy.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for this website is:

For any privacy question, reach us by e-mail at the address above.

2. Server logs

When you open a page, the web server receives the technical data every browser sends: the requested page, date and time, the amount of data transferred, the browser and operating system, the referring page and your IP address. The server stores this in a log file for a short time to keep the site running and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, Art. 31(2)(d) FADP). Logs are deleted after at most 30 days.

3. Feedback form

On the support page you can send us a message. What you write there goes to our server and is delivered to us as an e-mail: the kind of message, the game, the app version, the platform, your text and, if you enter one, your e-mail address for the reply. We use it only to answer you and to fix what you report (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; if you give us an address, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the reply). The e-mail is deleted once the matter is settled, at the latest after twelve months.

Nothing is written to a database and no profile is built. To keep spam out, the server counts how many messages arrive from one internet connection per hour; all it stores for that is a one-way hash of the IP address in a temporary file that disappears after an hour. Using the form is voluntary. You can also simply write to the e-mail address on the support page.

4. Visitor statistics (Matomo)

We use the open-source software Matomo on our own server to understand how many people visit which pages. Matomo runs without cookies and without any storage in your browser. The last two bytes of your IP address are removed before anything is saved, so the address cannot be traced back to you. Matomo records the page you viewed, the time, your browser and screen size, the language, the country derived from the shortened IP address, and a few interactions on the page (for example which question in the FAQ you opened, or that you clicked a store link).

These statistics contain no name and no persistent identifier. We use them only to improve this page (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If your browser sends "Do Not Track", Matomo records nothing at all. The data stays on our server. The raw visit data is deleted after 13 months; what is left are aggregated counts that cannot be linked to a person.

5. Links to the app stores

The page links to the Apple App Store and Google Play. When you follow a link, the privacy policy of Apple or Google applies. We do not embed any content from third parties.

6. Your rights

You have the right to information about the data we hold about you, to correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Apart from the short-lived server log and the feedback messages you send us yourself, we store no personal data, so there is usually nothing we can attribute to you. Write to us at the address above; in the EU you may also complain to your data protection authority, in Switzerland to the FDPIC.

7. Changes

We update this policy when the website or the legal requirements change. The date above shows the current version.
